Experience

Musical Collaboration

All you have to do is start a composition, and other players can pick it up and continue the piece. Together, you can easily create music and share it with the community. Play various instruments to compose with the sequencer, or jam live with other players in the music playgrounds. Players can play their tracks directly on the music stage and get the whole community up and dancing!

Groovy Park lets you interact safely with other players online using avatars — express yourself with different postures, emojis, and emotions!

Research project

The game Groovy Park is the result of a research project carried out through a partnership between HEMU, HEIG-VD, HESAV, Viacam, Baptiste Portefaix, and Tourmaline Studio.

This project was funded by Innosuisse and the Ebnet Foundation.

The game was designed and tested in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients from the Institut Maïeutique and the CHUV Lausanne.

Video game

A fun and accessible music creation tool

A central goal of this research project is to make music creation accessible to everyone, whether they are complete beginners with no musical experience or experienced musicians with specific expectations for a creative tool.

Therefore, we involved our future users of all levels from the very first stages of development to design an accessible music sequencer for our care game

«Working with people who make video games is really surprising. They bring new tools — for communication, design, especially game design, but also for research. They come with ways to brainstorm or exchange ideas, and it helps us conduct better research»

— Emilie Bovet, Phd in life sciences, lecturer at HESAV and researcher on the Amuze-toi (Groovy Park) project

A feel-good video game

Groovy Park was designed as a positive and enjoyable interactive experience. A care game that encourages collaboration, social interaction between players, and creative expression through music — all within a kind, respectful, and inclusive environment.

A gentle game that offers the opportunity to create music, listen to it, and share it with the community.
